I’ve been trying to record another sound track onto WAV file, however I’m getting conflicting results. My camera uses a DV45 camcorder which has internal recording (AFF) capability. I’ve connected the camcorder to my laptop and we’re doing the entire recording/editing stuff on my laptop. As we’re looking for the best option to record the audio, I’ve decided to record the voice with an external audio interface. My choice is the Behringer UCA202.
I’ve connected the UCA202 to the headphone out jack of my laptop. I’m using Neatunes – QTRecorder. Although I’ve found that there’s some weird sound quality, but the recording looks good. I’ve decided to save the.WAV file to my portable hard drive for future use. Before I do that, I want to record another sound track with the Behringer as a reference. So I’m going to attempt to record another.WAV file. However, I’m confused on how to record the audio from the headphone jack of my laptop. On my UCA202, there’s a red and blue RCA cable that goes into an audio input jack. But, what I want is an audio input without going through an amplifier. The PCB layout of both regulators is very similar, but not the same. It seems to be different for how a load is attached to the regulator. That’s why you see the 1 on the top left of the graph.
